Who is Flat Larry?

Flat Larry is the official spokesperson for the Lawrence County Tourist Promotion Agency and he’s anything but camera shy. In fact, his goal is to be seen all around Lawrence County. Patterned after the children’s book, Flat Stanley, Flat Larry first appeared in 2006, having his photo taken with visitors to the tourism office.

Win Prizes in the 2011 Scavenger Hunt

January 1 to December 31, 2011

Flat Larry will be even more prominent in 2011 with a scavenger hunt conducted throughout Lawrence County. A receipt of purchase or a photo of the attraction will give you one of the following:

Flat Larry T-Shirt
Proof of eight (8) visits to a business or attraction listed in the visitors guide or website.

Fireworks Capital of America ball cap
Proof of five (5) visits to a business or attraction listed in the visitors guide or website.

Fireworks Capital of America souvenir
Proof of four (4) or less visits to business or attraction listed in the visitors guide or website.
