Happy 66th Birthday to McConnells Mill State Park!! While you might just know the park for its
picturesque views, adventurist hiking trails, and flowing waterfalls, come celebrate its birthday
by learning the history of the Historical Gristmill and the Slippery Rock Gorge. First you will learn
about the Ice Ages that changed this area, which made it possible to be the home for
McConnells Mill. Then step into the shoes of its forefathers and see what life was like for them
in the gristmill business. Lastly, as the milling operation came to a close find out how this land
went from mill to park.
